DIRECTOR, CONSUMER EXPERIENCE

Have you led the launch of a technically smart product that is being used by consumers globally and across different platforms? Perhaps you’ve been focused in the software space and you’re looking to grow your experience with hardware? Are you looking to take on challenges and use your quick thinking and past experiences to overcome them?

This role will see you working with developers, marketers, sales leads and creative designers to bring to life your vision for the FishHunter Brand, the world’s most powerful portable, wireless, fish finder.

You’ll need to collaborate with the team to brainstorm, test, and implement marketing communications across multiple platforms including our own e-commerce site, Amazon and our distributor/retail partners in 12 countries. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a fresh new brand at a fast moving, young company.

We’re looking for a marketer that isn’t afraid of being a jack-of-all-trades and is excited to put their stamp on awesome products that people love to use. We’ll give you the latest and greatest tools to do your job – we don’t joke around, if you need it, you’ll have it.

To be considered for the position, the ideal candidate must live in the GTA area or be able to commute.

Reporting directly to the CEO, the Director, Consumer Experience, will play an invaluable role on the FishHunter Brand:

Responsibilities

  • Lead the ongoing refinement of FishHunter’s marketing program based on a deep understanding of customer segmentation, marketplace trends, competitive offerings in the fish finder market.
  • High level business strategy development, identifying marketing opportunities and oversee the implementation of all marketing initiatives for the FishHunter brand globally.
  • Craft insightful creative briefs for packaging designs, website updates, consumer promotions, ongoing MARCOM etc., working diligently with the creative team for desired output.
  • Test and measure promotional effectiveness of direct marketing programs (ROI / Metrics / KPIs) in the digital field and presenting results and recommendations to the CEO
  • Provide Trade Marketing leadership (Retailer Associate Education, In Store Display Unit development, Merchandisers, Marketing Materials)
  • Work within all areas of media (traditional and non-traditional) to stretch the budget, including: Video, Radio, Media, Online Ads, Website, Digital, Social Media, etc.
  • Coach, lead, manage and support the performance of a growing team to move the business forward
  • Work in partnership with the technical development team to provide insight and direction on the continual refinement of FishHunter’s suite of products.

Skills & Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to drive revenue through highly effective marketing
  • 6 – 8 years of Marketing Experience, with a minimum of 2 – 4 years in Marketing Management positions.
  • Strong experience in the e-commerce, CPG Industry is a MUST.
  • Familiarity with WordPress and Woocommerce
  • Experience working in an agency or in sales is an asset
  • Solid and demonstrated ability to manage an entire marketing strategy and manage a marketing team.
  • Experience working within social media platforms including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, hootsuite or similar.
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Strong attention to detail, strong interpersonal skills, and ability to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
  • Advanced knowledge of analytical tools and marketing automation tools is an asset
  • Passion for technology, marketing and sales.
  • Ability to excel at creating marketing strategy and vision and seeing it through to successful execution
  • knowing how to fish is not an actual requirement, because it can be learned.
